This food and wine tour will introduce you to the regional cuisine of Lombardy, visiting the cities of the Po Valley. We will include one or more cooking lessons, where you will learn the history of the products of regional recipes. The tour also include the artistic component with visits to museums, churches, castles, etc.
LODI - PAVIA - CREMONA - MANTUA
Program 4 days / 3 nights
Day 1: LODI
Check-in at the hotel, and meeting with our representative. Free time for a first visit of Lodi. In the afternoon cooking class in a local restaurant and dinner. Overnight.
Day 2: PAVIA
Breakfast and departure to Pavia. Visit the historical city centre and lunch in a gourmet restaurant where we’ll taste the famous "risotto". Pavia is renowned for its production of rice. In the afternoon we’ll reach the hills of Pavia and visit a wine cellar including wine tasting. Return to the hotel in Lodi. Overnight.
Day 3: CREMONA and MANTOVA
Check-out and departure to Mantova with a stop in Cremona for the city tour. Visit the Stradivari Museum, and its magnificent collection of violins. Lunch in a restaurant. After lunch we’ll continue to Mantua, check-in at the hotel and optional tour of Mantova and the Palazzo Ducale.
Dinner in a local restaurant where you will taste the famous "pumpkin tortelli" and other local specialties. Overnight in Mantova.
Day 4: Departure or extension to other destination
Breakfast, check-out. End of tour or extension to other destination.
Rate per person on double room basis: from € 580 - minimum 20 participants
